The Political Team is a high performing team that enjoys a strong reputation for the quality of its communications, events, reporting, analysis and influencing.

Why should you apply?

As part of the team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the Political Section, and broader Embassy to understand the UK’s position on key issues.   • You will assist in development of strategic digital communications plan to support the UK Government’s priority communications campaigns on key policy issues;
  • Assist in increasing the Embassy’s presence and impact on social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn). This will entail developing new, creative content and campaigns, producing text, photos and videos, and monitoring the social media landscape for trends and developments;
  • You will assist with the Embassy’s public diplomacy work, through developing Social Media plans as well as assisting on the operational delivery of this key pillar of the Embassy’s work;
  • Assist the political team as needed with desk research, translating, and other ad hoc assignments. The team covers everything from climate change, arctic, security and defence to science and innovation.

In additional, you will cover for the Press Officer and Public Diplomacy Officer as necessary.
