Main purpose of job:
To project manage the King’s Birthday Party in November 2026, which is our annual flagship event, along with related activities.
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:
- Leading in the planning, organisation and coordination of the King’s Birthday Party, working closely with the High Commissioner and a cross-mission organising committee.
- Manage the guestlist, invitation, RSVP of guests and onsite guest management.
- Working with the respective colleagues responsible for security, protocol, sponsorship and partnership, event staging, decor and branding, entertainment, food and beverage, logistics, progress meetings and correspondence etc.

This vacancy is advertised as full-time, temporary role for 4 months.

The Project Manager will gain exposure working in a cross-mission committee, looking at various aspects of organising the biggest event in the High Commission’s calendar. The Project Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with sponsors and partners, meet key stakeholders from government, businesses and civil societies.
Working hours:
Flexible hours and remote working are available upon agreement with Line Manager and Human Resource. However, the role requires numerous visits to event venue, coordination meetings (internal and external), the jobholder must be prepared to be present in the office and/or event venues when needed.
