Research water utility industry and regulatory conditions across the country to inform Elevate positions, comments, and program expansion
Research water utility capacity gaps in Illinois, and technical assistance models available to meet those needs
Evaluate Elevate’s current water affordability and water technical assistance programs using qualitative and quantitative methods to demonstrate impact and inform future activities
Assist policy and water team in developing a statewide water affordability strategy, building off existing affordability pilots and technical assistance
Track state and federal legislation pertaining to areas of research
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Persistence and creativity in finding information, often with little guidance, and proactively communicating with team members to share information or ask questions
Strong research skills
Attention to detail
Familiarity with water issues
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
